Run Courses

3km

Athletes will start at the designated Start Line, they will then continue East along the Rail Trail for 1.5km at which point athletes will make a ‘U-turn’ at the 1st drink station and return along the same route to the finish line.

5km

As above only athletes will run 2.5km and make a ‘U-turn’ at the ‘5km’ turn around sign just after crossing Mouth of Powlett Road and return to the finish line.

10km

Athletes will start at designated point, travel approximately 2.5km east along the “Rail Trail” at which point they will be directed by a crossing marshal to proceed with caution across the Mouth of Powlett Road. Athletes will resume along the Rail Trail approximately 2.5km to the next drink station and the “10km turn around” and return to the finish line along the same route.

15km

Athletes will commence the fun run as per allocated start line. Athletes will run west along the Rail Trail approx. 500m where they will turn left onto the George Bass Trail, runners will continue along this undulating trail following instructions as per signage to the turnaround 2km from the start, runners will make a u-turn and continue back along the route to the exit of the George Bass Trail, all runners will turn left onto the Rail Trail continuing in a Westerly direction 75m to make a u-turn. Runners will then continue past the start finish chute East along the Rail Trail towards Dalyston. Adhering to same rules and crossing at allocated point as above, continuing along the Rail Trail to the 15km turn around sign 5.425km from finish chute. At this point athletes will turn around near Daly Street and return back to the finish line directly along the rail trail.

21.1km

Athletes will begin at the designated start line. Athletes will run West along the Rail Trail approx. 500m where they will turn left onto the George Bass Trail, runners will continue along this undulating trail following instructions as per signage to the turnaround 2km from the start, runners will make a u-turn and continue back along the route to the exit of the George Bass Trail, all runners will turn left onto the Rail Trail continuing in a Westerly direction 75m to make a u-turn. Runners will then continue past the start finish chute East along the Rail Trail towards Dalyston. Adhering to same rules and crossing at allocated point as above, continuing along the Rail Trail 3.055km past the 15km turn around sign 8.48km from finish chute. At this point athletes will turn around at the 21.1km turn around sign near the Lower Powlett Road (do not cross this road) returning directly back to the finish chute to complete 21.1km (Half Marathon).

Family Friendly Walk

The Walkers will start at the designated Start Line, they will walk West along the Rail Trail for approx. 500m where they will turn Left onto the George Bass Trail. Walkers will continue along this track, taking caution on steps descending along the trail. Walkers will continue along the Trail to the Drinks station, making a U-Turn and return back along the same route to the Rail Trail. Walkers will continue to the turn around point at Shanty Lane (same as 15/21.1 turn) DO NOT ENTER THE ROAD AT SHANTY LANE making a U-Turn and returning along the same route back to the Rail Trail, Walkers will turn Left heading West along Rail Trail for 250m to the turn around point (do not cross/enter onto BassHwy) Walkers make a U-turn and Head East along the Rail Trail to the “WALKERS FINISH

      Hi Zak,
      There are only place getter trophies, as it is a charity event and very cheap to enter.
      We would have to increase the entry fee if we were to have participation medallions.
      In saying that we are waiting for a major sponsor to respond.
      We do have singlets and tshirts available at a very reasonable price and free if you enter the 15 or half marathon.
