Giving back to the kids

Congratulations to all of the 2016 recipients as listed below with past beneficiaries. All of the clubs and groups who volunteer at the KKOT event benefit from a donation to that club/group. Clubs must get back to us with how the donation was spent and must support development of youth.
Examples of funds spent include
Nipper’s rash vests for local lifesaving clubs
Camera for coaching and development of junior surfers
$$ towards buggy for little athletics
Several thousand dollars toward Kongor School Support
Breaky program for children at school
Equipment for local football, soccer and boxing club, and many more.
2016 saw the introduction of several scholarships as listed below

With the growing success of our event, KKOT has identified the need in our community for the support of local youth & their families, opening another avenue through the introduction of the KKOT scholarship programme.
The program consists of 3 available scholarships.
1. Education x 2 – These scholarships are available to students in their final years of school (Yrs 10,11 12).
2. Recreation x 1 – This scholarship is available to an outstanding student who struggles to financially fund their chosen talent (music, dance, art etc.)
3. Sport x1 – A scholarship available to a family or individual who struggles to pay for their child/children to pay the financial requirements of their chosen sport who excels in community spirit.
